Emergency contact sticker that keeps your number hidden.
The point of an emergency contact on your vehicle is that a stranger can reach you fast. The problem with writing it on the glass is that everybody else can reach you too, forever.
What an emergency contact sticker should actually do
Most emergency contact stickers sold online are exactly what they sound like: your mobile number, printed and stuck to the vehicle. It works — and it also means your personal number sits in public view on a parked car, readable by anyone walking past, long after the emergency you bought it for.
The two situations people buy these for
- Something happened to the vehicle — an accident in the parking lot, a broken window, a flat tyre. Someone wants to tell the owner.
- Something happened to the driver — a medical emergency where a bystander or a first responder needs to reach the family quickly.
ParkPing covers both, from opposite directions. A stranger scanning the card reaches you. And in the second case you can trigger SOS from the app, which pushes your live location to up to five emergency contacts over SMS, WhatsApp and push at once.
How it works in an emergency
- Someone finds the vehicleThey scan the card with any phone camera — no app needed.
- They pick "Emergency"The reason travels with the alert, so you know it is serious.
- You are notified instantlyThe alert lands on your phone with the vehicle and the time.
- You choose how to respondCall back from the app, or trigger SOS to your own contacts.
Why not just print the number
A printed number cannot be changed, cannot be switched off, and cannot tell you who is calling or why. A QR card can be disabled the moment it is lost, and every scan is logged so you can see what happened and when.
